Dream interpretations!

I've been fascinated by interpreting my dreams, lately! It's so interesting. I know that alot of it, if not all of it, is bogus, but it's fun. Kinda like when you were a kid and you'd pretend your friends house was haunted just because it was an explanation to all those creepy noises you would hear.
I've also taken up writing in a journal. It's pretty great. It's more personal than writing here on a blog where everyone can see it and I get to mention names in my journal!! muahaha. lol jaykay...kinda. It's also helped me realise some stuff about myself, which i guess is good.

Rainbow

Yet another rainy day in beautiful southern California. We were supposed to go to Knott's today but it closed because of the rain. =/ I was kinda bitter towards it [the rain] because of that, and it woke me up at 7am. I was also starting to grow tired of it and frustrated that we haven't had any warm weather for a few weeks. But when I went outside today after it had temporarily stopped raining I saw the most beautiful rainbow. My heart immediately stopped thinking "why God?! Why?!" and went to "You know what, Thanks Lord." I'm selfish. California desperately needs all the rain it can get and I just wanted the sun so I can work on my tan. Boo me! But you know, I'm going to enjoy the rain as much as I can in all my pale glory! =D

Self Realizations:

  • I'm selfish
  • I'm insecure
  • I let what people say affect me wayy more than I should
  • I feel obnoxious and I don't like it
  • I hold grudges
  • I'm bitter

Happy Singles Appreciation Day!!

Singles Date tomorrow! Baking cookies in the morning and chick flicks for the rest of the day. Sleeping away valentines last year was pretty chill. But getting sick from the percocet, being in a bulky sling, and not being able to move kinda sucked. (my shoulder surgery was the day before)

According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting
himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a
young girl — who may have been his jailor's daughter — who visited him during
his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter,
which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today.
Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly
emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic
figure.

Fun Valentines Day Facts:

  • In the Middle Ages, there was a belief that the first unmarried person of the opposite sex you met on the morning of St. Valentine's Day would become your spouse.

  • 73% of Valentine Day flowers are bought by men, whereas women buy only 23% of Valentine flowers.

  • Around 3% of pet owners prefer to give Valentine gifts to their pets, as they are more grateful than humans!

  • "Cupid" shoots people and it rhymes with "Stupid"

  • He is also the son of the goddess Venus

  • People had a belief that if a robin flies above an unmarried woman's head, then it is likely that her wedding knots would get tied with a sailor

  • People have heard about the Valentine’s Day Massacre. It was where Al Capone had men from a rival Alcohol smuggling gang gunned down with machine guns at close range. The part that the history books don’t tell is that the killing was a mercy killing motivated out of love, not greed. You see all these men would have eventually died from liver failure from all the booze. This was a much less painful way for them to go.

Sunny with a chance of...

SoCal's weather has been pretty bipolar (no pun intended).
Last week it was crazy hot and I was able to sun bathe. Then the rain came. Then the rain went. Then it came again. Then it went and the clouds went with it and it became insanely windy. And it somehow came back and left again. hahaha Throw in some thunder and we have "weather gumbo"!! ...gumbo is the stuff that has like, everything in it right? lol

Such a rainy day. And it's mine.

Southern California is finally getting a good taste of rain! It's been raining/pooring all day and it's been fabulous!!! Spent the day relaxing, doing some laundry, making babies (computer program [no worries!]), and now I'm spending time with the ever so amazing Joker while eating popcorn and drinking hot cocoa.
I think I'll finish this day off by going to bed early....or telling myself I'm going to bed early and reading until the late hours of the night. Happens quite often....
Knott's tomorrow for Lisa's Birthday!!
Happy Birthday Lisapoo!!! <3>

Meet The Raisins!

Remember the California Raisins?! haha Omgoodness, I used to love watching this movie! If I could find it now, I'd be a very happy girl.
Also, Keep that girl I was talking about a couple posts back, in your prayers. Just found out she's pregnant and her and her boyfriend broke up.
It's odd how you can still love an old friend you haven't talked to in years.

It's February....

and it's 80 degrees in the shade! woo!
I was able to sit out in the backyard and read my book and tan for a little while before a bumble bee decided to crawl up my leg and I screamed and ran.
